Senior Electrical Design Engineer (Clean Water Technologies)

UK – Can be based commutable location from offices across the UK (Warrington, Aberdeen, Basingstoke, Southampton, Kent, Edinburgh, Portsmouth)

£45,000 - £50,000 DOE + £5,500 C/A + Private Medical + EV Scheme + Flexibility

Certain Advantage is hiring for an Electrical Design Engineer, for one of the UK’s most respected engineering firms in the water sector. This is a permanent opportunity, based from one of their offices across the UK.
Are you an Electrical Design Engineer with a background in water, oil & gas, petrochemical, or similar industries? Are you looking for a role where you can work across the full lifecycle of projects, from scoping through to commissioning, and see the tangible results of your work?

You’ll join a collaborative in-house design team, working on industry-leading solutions for some of the UK’s biggest water projects.

The Company: We’re working with a leading engineering business that’s been disrupting the water sector for over 40 years, delivering clean water technologies through smart, efficient, low-carbon solutions.

They design, manufacture, install, and maintain modular water treatment solutions for clean water, wastewater, and industrial processes. With over 2,000 employees and continuous growth, they offer stability, career progression, and the chance to work with a technically brilliant team.

The Role:

You’ll play a vital part in a multi-disciplinary team, delivering electrical design for innovative water treatment projects.
You’ll follow your projects through every phase from feasibility, detailed design, and manufacture, right through to commissioning.

Day to day you will:

Develop Electrical, Instrumentation & Control designs
Collaborate with mechanical, civil, and process engineering colleagues
Participate in HazOps and other safety studies
Review supplier packages for MCCs, PLCs, and instrumentation
Support the construction and commissioning teams to ensure quality deliveryThe Individual:

HND / HNC / Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
Ideally from water, wastewater, petrochemical, or oil & gas sectors
Strong knowledge of British and European design standards
Experience through all design stages (feasibility, detailed design, build, install)
Full UK Driving LicenceThe Benefits:
