Are you a well qualified and experienced maintenance technician / engineer, with a background in process engineering industry, ideally energy from waste?
Then we want to speak to you!

In return, we offer a salary of £39,155 - £45,930 plus up to 10% Bonus (~ £4,593), Call-Out Allowance (~ £2,500), Company Pension, and benefits catalogue.
Total Package at the time of joining up to £53,023.
We’ll help you progress, and develop yourself further, and will support you with creating a development plan to achieve that.

What will I be doing?

You'll be making sure our Suffolk Energy Recovery plant is fully operational at all times. Day-to-day, you’ll plan and carry out a range of maintenance activities, leading and developing your team, whilst making sure safety, health and environmental standards are adhered to at all times. A cost-effective approach is important too, but best practice is crucial. Using your knowledge and experience, you’ll lead junior members of electrical maintenance team to perform at their best and provide specialist advice whenever required.

What are the requirements?

This is a role for a confident professional who has worked in a heavy industry in a hands-on maintenance role before. You’ll have an HNC in Electrical or Instrumentation field (or equivalent experience), and good working knowledge of environmental legislation. A Health & Safety qualification would be great but we’re more interested in your ability to lead a team, explain technical matters clearly, and improve plant availability.

A friendly and supportive place that you will love to work in, we believe creativity, clear communication and our drive for excellence are the keys to our success. If you share our thinking – and have the qualities we’re looking for – you could play a big part in our dedicated team.
We reserve the right to close this role early should we receive a sufficient number of applications.

Where to Advertise Semiconductor Jobs in the UK (2026 Guide)

Where to advertise semiconductor jobs UK in 2026: the specialist boards, academic channels and community routes that actually reach IC, fab and EDA talent. The candidate pool is one of the smallest and most specialised in any engineering discipline — spanning IC design engineers, process engineers, fab technicians, EDA tool developers, compound semiconductor physicists and power electronics specialists. General job boards are largely ineffective for semiconductor hiring. The community is tight-knit, highly academic in its roots and concentrated around a small number of university groups, fab facilities and design centres. Specialist boards, academic channels and direct community engagement are the primary sourcing strategies that work. This guide, published by SemiconductorJobs.co.uk, covers where to advertise semiconductor roles in the UK in 2026, how the main platforms compare, what employers should expect to pay, and what the data says about hiring across different role types.
