Production Engineer | Derby | Up to £55,000

A leading player in the rolling stock industry is seeking a proactive and technically adept Production Engineer to join their Derby-based team. This role is instrumental in supporting a range of projects across the business - reducing operational pressure and ensuring the consistent delivery of engineering excellence.

As a Production Engineer, your focus will be to provide technical production and process engineering support, working across departments to ensure accurate BOMs and efficient project execution. You will do this by:

Developing and maintaining accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) and work instructions
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient production planning
Identifying and implementing process improvements to boost productivity and quality
Supporting procurement and input data into the Sage ERP system

Candidate Essentials

Proven experience within a Mechanical or Production Engineering role in a manufacturing setting (Essential)
Strong desire to learn and a proactive mindset (Essential)
Hands-on approach with a technical understanding of production documentation(Essential)
Qualification in a relevant engineering discipline (Desirable)
Experience within rail/rolling stock environments (Desirable)
