W Talent Recruitment are working exclusively with a leading manufacturing company based in Derby to recruit for a Production Engineer. This is a vacancy offering a fantastic opportunity to join a large and reputable organisation at the forefront of engineering and continuous improvement.

The successful candidate will join the Derby engineering department responsible for all current model support, new product introduction (NPI), engineering changes, and continuous improvement activities across the plant.

Key Responsibilities:

Work as part of a cross-functional engineering team, collaborating with colleagues in Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and Maintenance both locally and across the wider group.
Lead and support improvement initiatives to drive key KPIs, including production output, efficiency, quality standards, and scrap reduction.
Manage and implement engineering change requests, taking projects from design through to full production integration.
Provide support for electro-pneumatic production test equipment and monitor critical plant and process parameters, recommending data-driven corrective actions.
Collaborate with NPI Project Engineers to introduce new products and drive process improvements across existing and new production lines.Candidate Requirements:

Background in Mechanical, Electrical, or Process Engineering with relevant hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience with automated powder paint spray plants is highly desirable.
Ideally degree-qualified; however, candidates with HNC or equivalent qualifications and strong industrial experience will be considered.
Experience working with automated assembly management and production IT systems.
Proven track record in a Process or Manufacturing Engineering role, delivering value through effective solutions and demonstrating urgency in meeting internal stakeholder needs.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams at all organisational levels.
Practical problem solver, experienced in using structured methodologies such as A3 or 8D, and comfortable making robust, data-driven decisions.Salary & Benefits:

Competitive salary of £40,000-£45,000 depending on experience.
25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
