Job Title: Process Engineer
Location: South Birmingham / Redditch Area
Salary: £45,000 - £49,000 per annum + Excellent Benefits

The Opportunity

On behalf of a leading, well-established engineering business, EMBS Engineering has been tasked with identifying an ambitious and capable Process Engineer to join their growing team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a company offering long-term stability and the chance to work on exciting, high-specification projects for major OEMs. You will play a crucial, systems-based role in a dynamic environment, ensuring manufacturing processes are robust, documented, and efficient.

This position is ideal for a highly organised and detail-oriented engineer with a background in fabrication and machining who thrives on structure and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:



Developing, writing, and implementing crucial manufacturing documentation, including Job Cards, Data Cards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and detailed Work Instructions.

Creating and optimising manufacturing processes for fabrication, sheet metal, and machined components.

*

Maintaining and updating the company's ERP system to ensure all data, work plans, and process information is accurate and current.

*

Organising, controlling, and managing data cards throughout the product lifecycle.

*

Processing and implementing engineering change requests in a timely and controlled manner.

*

Working closely with manufacturing teams to roll out new SOPs and provide technical support.

*

Championing quality principles and ensuring all processes adhere to strict industry standards.

The Ideal Candidate:

*

Proven experience in a Process Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, Quality Engineer or similar role.

*

A strong technical understanding of fabrication, sheet metal, and/or machining processes.

*

Highly organised with meticulous attention to detail.

*

Experience in a systems-focused role with proficiency in updating ERP systems and managing technical documentation.

*

A deep appreciation for quality principles, structure, and compliance.

*

Experience working within a highly regulated sector such as Aerospace, Defence, Power, or Nuclear.
