We're currently recruiting an experienced Electronic Hardware Design Engineer to join a forward-thinking team developing cutting-edge solutions across the Defence, Industrial, and Scientific sectors. This is a hands-on design role offering a real opportunity to influence complex electronic systems from concept to production.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and development of digital and analogue electronic hardware for advanced embedded systems.
Ownership of full hardware lifecycle: concept, schematic capture, PCB layout, prototyping, and validation.
Development and execution of test plans, specifications, and procedures.
Close collaboration with software, mechanical, and systems teams.
Support production, troubleshooting, and design-for-manufacture improvements.
Technical customer support and occasional site visits.
Authoring and maintenance of detailed design documentation.
Provision of consultancy and subject-matter expertise to clients when required.
Essential Requirements:

Proven experience in FPGA design and VHDL programming.
Extensive hands-on PCB design and layout experience, ideally using Altium Designer.
Strong understanding of digital and analogue circuit design, including high-speed switching and signal integrity considerations.
Working knowledge of EMC design principles.
Experience with A/D and D/A converters and supporting circuitry.Desirable:

Familiarity with high-voltage circuit design.
Understanding of optical systems and electronics.
