Process Engineer

The Process Engineer plays a critical role in the design, construction, commissioning, and long-term operation of the facility. This role will be involved in both build and operational phases.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with: Design and Project teams to influence plant layout, process flows, and equipment selection. Production, Quality & Maintenance to ensure operations successful, compliance and safety.
Support the development and review of P&IDs, process flow diagrams and equipment specifications.
Contribute to the creation of SOPs, HAZOPs (including chair or acting chair), and operational readiness plans.
Participate in factory and site acceptance testing (FAT/SAT).
Monitor and optimise processes against KPIs
Troubleshoot process issues. Implement and lead (technical) continuous improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, or other CI methodologies.
Lead or contribute to CAPEX projects related to process improvements and equipment upgrades.

Qualifications & Experience
Degree in Chemical or Process Engineering (or related discipline)
Professional Member of the IChemE or similar
Experience supporting new facility build, commissioning is highly advantageous
Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar CI certification

With an experienced leadership team the role offers a unique experience to gain exposure to Process Engineering not common in the established North East Process Industry. The person will be well compensated based on experience and working from the Darlington site
