Our highly successful Scottish based, and privately owned semiconductor manufacturing company has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Quality Manager. The company works with customers globally and offering a diverse product range supports a range of industries including Industrial, medical, consumer and automotive. This includes start-ups, academia and multinational corporations. This is a fantastic role for someone who can engage people and drive improvements in quality standards.

In this customer-facing role, you will have full responsibility for developing, implementing and maintaining all aspects of quality assurance through our Quality Management Systems.​ Key functions entail coordinating the daily activities of the QA Department; leading a small team of QA Inspectors and Administrators; coordinating issues that require corrective actions and driving resolutions; ensuring continuous improvement of processes and systems that align with company objectives and execution of departmental tasks with a focus on providing exceptional service to our customers.​

Our client is looking for a quality expert, who will push forward and challenge the status quo, deliver the very best performance, and achieve results at pace whilst working under pressure. With a proactive approach to work, you will have a proven track record in QA, working to high standards. You also must be well organised, self motivated and have great drive to getting the job done.

Responsibilities include:

  • Full responsibility for quality management systems, quality specifications and quality standards

  • Manage and co-ordinate BSI/ISO customer and internal audits

  • Lead and implement related process quality tools such as APQP, FMEA and Control plans etc.

  • Lead systematic root cause analysis (including 8D and 5 why) and corrective action activities

  • Engage with engineering to support all aspects of design and manufacturing change control processes, risk management, continuous process improvement and application of statistical process controls processes, risk management, continuous process improvement and application of statistical process control methodologies for key product/process characteristics to drive predictive performance outcomes
