We are looking to recruit an Operator Technician to join a highly skilled, self-motivated operational shift team at a high-hazard, COMAH-regulated site in Fellside, Cumbria.
  
This is a 12-month contract with a competitive salary, working for a leading organisation in the power generation and energy sector. As an Operator Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the plant while carrying out frontline maintenance activities.
  
Key Responsibilities:

Operating the plant safely and efficiently, ensuring full compliance with operational and safety standards
Carrying out first-line maintenance in either a mechanical or electrical discipline to maintain plant reliability
Adhering to SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) systems and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
Supporting and participating in shutdowns and emergency shutdown procedures
Ensuring compliance with COMAH (Control of Major Accident Hazards) regulations and contributing to ongoing process safety improvements Requirements:

Level 3 qualification in a relevant discipline (mechanical, electrical, or process engineering)
Experience working in a continuous process or production environment
Practical experience in mechanical or electrical first-line maintenance
Strong knowledge of SHE systems, shutdown procedures, and emergency response protocols
Familiarity with COMAH regulations and working in a high-hazard environment This is an excellent opportunity for an Operator Technician to gain valuable experience working on a high-profile industrial site in Fellside, Cumbria, contributing to the safe and efficient operation of a key energy facility.
