Are you a skilled Design Engineer looking for an exciting opportunity to advance your career? Reed Specialist Recruitment is seeking a talented Design Engineer to join our client's team in Kidderminster, UK. As a Design Engineer, you will provide essential engineering support and information to our production departments, ensuring efficient and effective manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Support production departments with technical drawings using Solidworks/AutoCAD.
Work with production to improve processes and efficiency.
Use mechanical design techniques to stress test components and assemblies using Solidworks.
Create and modify 3D assemblies to meet customer and production needs.
Design new parts and solutions to solve build issues.
Support 3rd party manufacturing suppliers with spec and build queries.
Assist the Engineering Manager on ongoing and new projects.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.Qualifications and Skills:

Mechanical Engineering qualification(s) is essential.
Minimum 1-year commercial experience.
Working knowledge of Solidworks is essential.
Good organisational, time management, and administration skills.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Problem-solving skills and the ability to follow projects through to conclusions.
AutoCAD 2D knowledge is advantageous.
Understanding of auto-electrics, hydraulics, and chassis is beneficial.Benefits:

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
Basic hours: 37 hours per week (Monday to Thursday 8:30am - 4:30pm, Friday 8:30am - 4:00pm).
