Job Title: Senior Process Engineer

Our Client, a growing leader in the energy transition, operates in the renewable energy industry. Committed to making a global impact on the energy transition, they engineer and supply technology for the production of low-carbon energy and chemicals. They collaborate with exceptional partners to develop, construct, own, and operate renewable energy projects. Currently, they are advancing a significant methanol project with innovative sustainability measures.

Role Summary

Our Client is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to join their dynamic team. This role plays a strategic part in supporting team success and providing exceptional service to clients. Reporting to the Process Engineering Manager and the VP of Engineering, the successful candidate will contribute to the advancement of renewable energy solutions.

Responsibilities

Perform process simulations and develop specialized modeling tools
Implement process design, equipment sizing, and selection
Lead engineering studies and generate design packages
Collaborate with project managers to meet schedule commitments
Provide technical support for engineering, commissioning, and operations
Analyze problems to ensure equipment operation and compliance with regulations
Conduct quality checks and verify documentation

Essential Skills & Experience

Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering with 10+ years of related experience
Proficiency in AspenTech programs such as Aspen Plus and HYSYS
Experience with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, or similar software for drafting
Familiarity with Hazard Analysis methodologies and safety systems
Strong background in EPC and systems engineering

Desirable Skills & Experience

Experience in thermal integration of process technologies
Knowledge of new and novel chemical processes
Training in HAZOP, HAZID, Project Management
Background in plant operation and process controls
