** An excellent opportunity for a trainee Field Service Engineer or Biomedical Engineer with one year plus Field Service Engineer experience working on any kind of electrical-mechanical or electronic equipment, to join a global-market leading supplier of sophisticated medical based surgical microscopes in a trainee role, offering full and comprehensive manufacturer’s training and excellent career development **

The Role – Trainee Medical Field Service Engineer

This market-leading optical group now seeks to recruit a technically motivated and customer focused Trainee Medical Field Service Engineer, responsible for the planned preventative maintenance, service, breakdown and repair of leading edge fully networked electronic optical microscopy medical systems, with innovative products dedicated to a broad range of medical applications with include optometry, dentistry, radiotherapy, surgical microscopy, digital visualisation, neurosurgery and gynaecology.

This role is home based, and will involve travelling to hospitals, healthcare centres and medical establishments throughout the South London, Kent, East Sussex, West Sussex and Surrey region.

You will spend time travelling to customer sites with experienced Field Service Engineers, who will pass on their knowledge and expertise to you as you learn about these complex medical devices.

Your Background – Trainee Medical Field Service Engineer

Applications for this exciting role are welcome from Service Engineers, Biomedical Engineers, ex HM Forces Engineers, Maintenance Engineers or Workshop Repair Engineers with a minimum of twelve months ‘hands on’ experience from any industry sector, as full and comprehensive manufacturers training will be provided.
