This role is responsible for the development of manufacturing processes from concept through to commissioning and qualification. You must be able to demonstrate a proven capability in developing manufacturing processes including system integration.
Specific duties will include the identification and management of process technical requirements, provision of expertise into the risk management process, provision of engineering support to the tendering process, implementation of Safe System of Work in line with Company and Statutory requirements and the technical management of the commissioning and qualification process.

A good knowledge of statistical techniques for measuring process capability and maintaining process control would be an advantage, including an understanding of six-sigma and the ability to develop, establish and maintain capable production processes.

Typical Duties
? Develop new manufacturing processes, in line with Engineering Plans and Budgets. Technical solutions and processes must be robust, timely, cost-effective and meet Customer expectations
? Ensure that manufacturing processes comply with industry standard controls that ensure long term process stability, including: Lean Principles, Process Control Plans, PFMEAs; plus awareness of Programmable Logic Controls and Visual Management Systems on automated process lines
? Specify and qualify new equipment, often working with suppliers to meet tight deadlines. Ensure all process equipment meets regulatory and safety standards
? To coordinate development activities to establish supporting data that ensures the manufacturing processes are based on a sound understanding of the materials which are being processed and the technology adopted for the plant and equipment
? To coordinate and manage a project data file capturing process and design information; to include, trials data, process definition (including drawings and specifications), certification and safety data. This data is to be controlled through the company’s Product Lifecycle Management system
? Support project activities, to include process reviews, capability studies, and Safe System of Work
? Present to line management and other stakeholders (verbal and written) on topics relating to process status within development or production, e.g. KPIs

? The role holder is responsible for taking reasonable care of their own health and safety ensuring high standards for safety, health and environment (SHE) in our organisation are maintained. This includes; co-operating and following all reasonable instruction, information and training; reporting work-related hazards or incidents and using all equipment for the purpose intended. More detailed responsibilities are captured within the Company Health & Safety Policy (759/OF/016) and the Company Environmental Policy (759/OF/029).
? The role holder is responsible for taking reasonable care of their own health and safety, ensuring high standards for safety, health and environment (SHE) in our organisation are maintained, understood, implemented and followed by their team. This includes; co-operating and following all reasonable instruction, information and training; reporting work-related hazards or incidents, using all equipment for the purpose intended, setting high standards for SHE, leading by example and establishing the expectation that others do the same; promoting risk awareness, ensuring that risks are assessed and adequately controlled, encouraging the team to report incidents and defects and make suggestions to improve SHE standards; and ensuring actions to address SHE issues are prioritised and resourced appropriately. More detailed responsibilities are captured within the Company Health & Safety Policy (759/OF/016) and the Company Environmental Policy (759/OF/029).

Knowledge
? Have a good technical and manufacturing base, show initiative and be able to work under pressure
? Prioritising a constantly varying workload, in parallel with maintaining high quality standards and meeting deadlines
? Experience and demonstrated knowledge of materials processing
? Minimum HNC / HND Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Chemical, or equivalent
