About the Role:

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Process Engineer to join their Wastewater Process Engineering Team based near Brighton. This is a dynamic role offering a blend of design responsibilities and operational site support across a range of wastewater treatment projects.

You'll play a key role in delivering process design calculations, control philosophies, PFDs, P&IDs, performance specifications, and commissioning plans. You'll also lead innovative solutions focused on TOTEX efficiency, and support operational teams in improving site performance, troubleshooting, and optimisation.

This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in wastewater process design, a passion for mentoring junior engineers, and a deep understanding of performance evaluation and innovation in the sector.

Key Responsibilities:

Produce process calculations, flow diagrams, control philosophies, and design deliverables.
Develop and oversee commissioning and compliance plans.
Lead and implement innovative wastewater treatment process solutions.
Provide technical support to site operations, including troubleshooting and optimisation.
Mentor junior process engineers.
Use data analysis to evaluate existing asset performance and develop improvements.

What Our Client is Looking For:

MEng/BEng/BSc in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
Ideally Chartered with a relevant professional institution.
At least 6 years' experience in the UK water industry or relevant consultancy.
Proven experience in wastewater treatment process design and operational support.
Strong analytical, mentoring, and communication skills.
Up-to-date knowledge of industry innovation and best practices.
