Astute's Power team is partnering with a leading O&M provider to recruit a Senior Planner for their CHP site in Seascale.

Responsibilities and duties

Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, you will:

Plan and schedule routine maintenance, outages, and assigned projects, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
Oversee the preparation, tracking, and updating of maintenance and outage schedules.
Lead weekly maintenance and outage planning meetings, liaising with operations and engineering teams.
Act as a Maximo "Super User," ensuring effective use of the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors to coordinate resources, spares, and outage planning.
Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to maintain deadlines.

Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

HNC (or equivalent) in a process or engineering discipline.
Experience in maintenance and outage planning within an industrial or power generation environment.
Knowledge of maintenance processes, contract management, and operational procedures.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CMMS software (Maximo preferred).
Familiarity with planning tools such as MS Project or P3.
