About the Role

We are working on behalf of a leading engineering company in the water treatment sector to recruit a Project Manager with a strong technical background and a proven track record of delivering complex equipment projects. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established and growing organisation known for delivering high-specification solutions across a range of water treatment applications.

As Project Manager, you will take full ownership of assigned projects from the point of sales handover through to successful site delivery and handover to the client. You will be responsible for managing budgets, timelines, supplier relationships, technical documentation, and client communications to ensure safe and profitable project completion.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee all project activities from order handover to client sign-off

Manage budgets, monitor costs, and ensure profitability targets are met

Develop project schedules and ensure milestones are achieved

Liaise with suppliers, issue POs, and ensure timely deliveries

Coordinate technical submittals, layouts, and specifications

Ensure quality control, health & safety compliance, and site documentation

Track cash flow, revenue recognition, and invoice/payment schedules

Communicate effectively with internal teams, contractors, and end users

Identify and manage project risks and variation orders

What You’ll Need

Engineering degree or equivalent technical qualification

Experience in project management within water treatment, process engineering, or related sectors

Strong technical knowledge of water treatment systems and equipment

Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks or similar)

Experience with on-site commissioning and troubleshooting

Excellent organisational, communication and negotiation skills

Ability to manage cross-functional teams and drive project performance

Willingness to travel across the UK and occasionally within Europe

Desirable

CSCS card or equivalent health & safety accreditation

Experience with contract terms and variation management
