Location: Northwest England (Commutable from Lancashire, Cumbria, Cheshire, Greater Manchester)

Shape Critical Infrastructure for World-Class Clients

With a proud legacy of precision engineering and best-in-class products, we're seeking a Senior Project Manager who thrives on delivering excellence in technically demanding environments.

This is a confidential opportunity to join a global group delivering engineered HVAC and flue systems to leading clients in data centres, industrial plants, healthcare facilities, and commercial sites.

If you're passionate about project leadership and stakeholder diplomacy in complex delivery settings, this role offers the chance to make a long-term impact.

The Opportunity

You'll manage the end-to-end delivery of flue and HVAC installations, valued between £50K and £5M, acting as the critical bridge between design, manufacturing, and site execution.

You will lead multiple concurrent projects across the UK and Europe, collaborating with engine manufacturers, main contractors, and global tech companies to ensure precision execution.

You'll be the face of the business on site and in stakeholder forums, balancing commercial sensitivity, technical accuracy, and project sequencing.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Managing HVAC, and engineered system projects from order to final installation.

  • Overseeing procurement cycles, build sequencing, installation readiness, and technical interface.

  • Leading stakeholder relationships with clients, contractors, and engine partners.

  • Navigating politically sensitive projects, pre-empting risk, and resolving coordination challenges.

  • Hosting and attending technical & commercial meetings with senior client and contractor representatives.

  • Collaborating with in-house design, procurement, production, and engineering teams.

  • Mentoring more junior project staff and contributing to internal learning forums.

  • Ensuring full compliance with HSE, quality, and governance standards throughout the project lifecycle.

    What You'll Bring

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in HVAC, M&E, construction, or engineered system project management.

  • Proven track record managing projects from £50K to £5M, ideally in manufacturing-installation environments.

  • Technical understanding of flue, ducting, exhaust, ventilation, or piping system installations.

  • Ability to manage cross-functional teams and influence at all levels.

  • Strong stakeholder diplomacy with experience in data centre, industrial, or infrastructure environments.

  • Confidence operating under pressure, resolving conflicts, and ensuring project flow across complex teams.

  • Desire to learn, grow, and become a subject matter expert in a niche engineering environment.

  • Ideally holds APM, Prince2, or PMP certification.

  • A background in mechanical, electrical, or process engineering is highly desirable.

    What You'll Gain

  • A supportive, collaborative, and values-driven culture within a growing global engineering group.

  • Career development path towards Project Director for high performers.

  • Opportunity to lead mission-critical infrastructure projects across the UK and Europe.

  • Competitive package including:

    o Salary £60,000-£80,000

    o Car Allowance

o Life Assurance & Employee Benefits Package

o Discretionary Bonus Scheme (in development)

o Real influence on projects delivered for the world's largest tech clients

    Location Requirements

  • Must live within commuting distance of the Northwest

  • Relocation support available

If you're ready to take on technically complex projects and play a key role in mission-critical systems delivery, we'd love to hear from you.

Semiconductor‑Industry Jobs for Non‑Technical Professionals: Where Do You Fit In?

The Silicon Revival Needs More Than Silicon Wizards Chip shortages, geopolitics and the AI boom have shoved semiconductors onto the front pages—and the UK is responding. Westminster’s National Semiconductor Strategy (May 2023) pledges £1 billion over ten years for R&D, skills and supply‑chain resilience. Companies from IQE in Cardiff to Pragmatic in Durham and Graphcore in Bristol are scaling, while the proposed acquisition of Newport Wafer Fab (NWF) has reignited investment talks. Against this backdrop, a myth persists: “If you’re not a clean‑room process engineer, you can’t work in semiconductors.” False. The UK Electronic Skills Foundation’s 2024 survey shows 42 % of open semiconductor vacancies focus on commercial, programme or compliance expertise rather than photolithography know‑how. From export‑control officers to product managers, the industry urgently needs professionals who can navigate complex supply chains, secure grants and bring chips to market. This guide spotlights the high‑growth non‑technical roles, maps the transferable skills you may already have, shares real transition stories and offers a 90‑day action plan—no wafer handling required.

Samsung Semiconductor Jobs in 2025: Your Complete UK Guide to Joining a Global Chip Leader

Over the past decade the semiconductor industry has moved from the wings to centre‑stage of the global economy. Governments talk about chips in the same breath as energy and food security; consumers want everything now; and engineers can pick from a feast of high‑tech employers. Few names shine brighter than Samsung Semiconductor. With record‑breaking fabs in Korea and the US, Europe‑wide design hubs and a culture that blends Korean dynamism with Silicon‑Valley agility, Samsung is aggressively hiring despite short‑term market turbulence. Whether you are a graduate fresh out of a UK university, a firmware guru eyeing a leap into AI accelerators, or a process engineer who loves the smell of cleanroom solvent in the morning, this guide gives you the UK‑centric the low‑down on Samsung semiconductor jobs in 2025.
