Scope of the Role:

The Process Engineer Consultant focuses on deploying the Tulip traceability system within the electronics value stream, with an initial emphasis on the MCM100. This role is responsible for leading key strategic initiatives, including developing the Tulip APP, collaborating with IT on hardware installation, and reviewing build cell processes and test documentation. The objective is to achieve full implementation of the system’s major components by the end of the financial year, enhancing efficiency and traceability across manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop manufacturing applications using low-code/no-code platforms, requiring minimal traditional programming knowledge.

  • Analyse and evaluate internal business processes to identify opportunities for optimization and automation.

  • Translate business requirements into functional solutions using visual development tools.

  • Utilise core platform features such as form builders, templates, drag-and-drop interfaces, and entity modelling tools to build applications efficiently.

  • Leverage Tulip to rapidly design and deploy smart manufacturing solutions with the speed and efficiency of a modern software engineer.

  • Apply user experience (UX) principles to design intuitive interfaces that simplify complex shop floor workflows.

  • Contribute to the entire solution delivery lifecycle, from requirement gathering through to deployment and support.

  • Collaborate with the Electronics Value Stream (EVS) team to define and document requirements for Tulip app development.

  • Coordinate with IT to plan and manage necessary hardware installations to support the application.

  • Partner with cell leaders and EVS stakeholders to co-develop tailored solutions aligned with operational needs.

  • Provide monthly progress updates and risk assessments to key stakeholders across the business.

    Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven track record in process engineering within a manufacturing environment.

  • Strong understanding of data models to support operational and analytical reporting.

  • Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles and a passion for continuous improvement.

  • Comfortable scripting with Python and JavaScript.

  • Basic knowledge of REST and SOAP API integrations.

  • Collaborative mindset, able to work proactively with cross-functional teams including VS, AUS engineering, and IT.

  • Approachable with excellent communication skills and respect for process and boundaries.

  • Hands-on attitude with a willingness to lead by example.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.).

    Desirable:

  • Experience or training in Tulip or similar manufacturing execution systems.
