Major Recruitment Oldbury are delighted to be recruiting for our local Dudley based client who are seeking a Production Process Engineer to work at their busy production plant. Hours of work are Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm.

Duties and tasks will include:

Develop, optimise, and maintain manufacturing processes to improve product quality, reduce waste, and increase production efficiency.
Monitor key production parameters, analyse data, and troubleshoot process issues to minimise downtime and improve productivity.
Lead and participate in continuous improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies.
Ensure that production processes meet established quality standards and regulatory requirements, including ISO certifications.
Work closely with production teams, maintenance, and quality departments to identify areas for improvement and support implementation. Provide training to operators on new processes and best practices.
Develop and implement strategies for cost reduction without compromising quality, through process optimisation, waste reduction, and equipment performance improvement.
Collect and analyse production data to generate reports for management, identifying trends, and providing recommendations for performance improvement.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in all aspects of production.Candidates welcome to apply for the role will have the following:

Proven experience (3+ years) as a Production Process Engineer in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the steel or metal processing industries.
Strong knowledge of process engineering techniques, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
Experience with process control systems, automation, and plant equipment in a production setting.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and implement changes.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft packages.
