Are you a skilled Process Engineer within a manufacturing environment? Come be a part of this global manufacturing company at its market leading Instrumentation Products Division Europe site based in Barnstaple. Be a part of this growing site as it goes through a transformation period with brand new technology coming in and an increase in projects with expanding clients from the automotive and Oil & Gas industry.

At the Barnstaple site, as a Process Engineer, you will lead process manufacturing lean operations for current reactive maintenance, while driving the new process implementation for brand new automation and robotics initiatives being introduced. Your role will be responsible for this massive change occurring at this fantastic site, with new machinery and robotic systems increasing the company volume, therefore causing a demand for improvement change. You will lead the process operations for the manufacturing change occurring at the Barnstable site.

Develop solutions to enhance production capabilities through robotics and automation for Manufacturing Process Engineering.
Proactively evaluate and optimize manufacturing process for efficiency; through troubleshooting production issues to minimize downtime.
Implementation of Lean principles such as Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Kaizen, and other best practice.
Identify and deploy best practice tools, equipment, and processes to drive value stream improvements. While keeping to robotics software such as FANUC and ABB.
Ensure all necessary documentation, information, and tools are available to the manufacturing team.Skills required:

Previous experience with manufacturing process engineering. Following continuous improvement and lean principles
Strong experience with industrial manufacturing machinery, such as CNC and large-scale shop floor machines and can demonstrate machine/process improvement and automation integration
Hands-on understanding of machine operation and manufacturing environments for robotics and new manufacturing technology
Familiarity with robotic systems such as Fanuc or ABB, or equivalent to then be trained on these systems
Strong communication skills; ability to interface effectively with shop floor staff and senior management
