NPI Tooling Engineer – Technical Manager Designate

Selexa are partnered with a leading tech client specialising in a number of technology development projects, utilised across a range of sectors and industries. The client have pioneered a revolutionary new precision metrology tool which has been qualified by industry leading semiconductor companies.

The Opportunity:

To support a new manufacturing and production team in the development of complex instrumentation and tooling manufacturing in Oxford.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan & manage the introduction of new products from R&D/Engineering to production to meet agreed product specifications

  • Fully understand and document product build and deliver effective transfer across to manufacturing

  • Support the NPI Lead in supplying Quality documentation to enable the build of all products across Operations

  • Support Change Process once released to Operations

  • Support and implement Continuous Improvement methodology across the business

  • Product well documented build notes/BOMs and test procedures as required

    Skills & Experience:

  • Degree qualified, HND/HNC also considered

  • 5 years recent experience within manufacturing and production engineering

  • Ability and flexibility to travel, providing ongoing build support

  • Understanding of document control

  • Control Systems and Process knowledge

  • QMS experience

  • Experience of working with any or all optical systems including lasers and fibres; electronics; electro-mechanics would be an advantage

  • Experience of managing complex projects concurrently would be advantageous
