Mechanical Process Engineer - Waterproofing & Coating (Contract)

Location: County Tipperary, Ireland (On-site flexibility required)
Contract Type: 3 month project
Rate: Competitive, based on experience

Overview:

We're looking for a hands-on Process Engineer to support the refinement and validation of automated conformal coating processes on PCBAs. The role involves working closely with the process owner to optimise dispense strategies, run iterative trials, and deliver a stable, validated dispense program ready for process characterization.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with process owners to refine dispense paths and coating strategies.
Execute iterative dispense trials and analyse output for repeatability and reproducibility.
Support documentation for process validation and transfer.
Troubleshoot dispense equipment and optimise machine parameters.
Ensure coating meets print spec and regulatory requirements.

Required Skills:

Experience with automated dispense systems.
Strong understanding of conformal coating materials and techniques.
Familiarity with PCBA manufacturing and coating for waterproofing.
Knowledge of ISO 13485, ISO 14971, and FDA CFR 21 Part 820.
