GRS are seeking skilled Mechanical Fitters to join a growing team delivering essential infrastructure upgrades in the water industry. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a critical project focused on wastewater treatment enhancements and environmental resilience. The role is based on a live site in Surrey and involves installation, maintenance, and commissioning of mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities:



Install, assemble, and maintain mechanical equipment including pumps, valves, pipework, and other water treatment components.

*

Support commissioning activities and mechanical testing.

*

Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.

*

Work to high health and safety standards on a live water industry site.

*

Liaise with site supervisors and other trades to ensure timely project delivery.

Requirements:

*

Proven experience as a mechanical fitter, ideally in the water or utilities sector.

*

NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or Fitting.

*

Confined Space and CSCS card preferred.

*

EUSR Water Hygiene (can be arranged if not held).

*

Ability to work from drawings and follow detailed instructions.

*

Strong understanding of site health and safety protocols.
