Manufacturing Engineer

£40,000 to £45,000 DOE

We are working with a growing business based in South Tyneside who are looking for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join the team on a permanent basis.

The ideal candidate will play a key role within the organisation, and support business functions on the management of engineering change, new products and improvements.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with departments across the business to support the drive-in implementation and coordination of improvements

  • Producing updating, and maintaining component, Bill of Materials and master part number data.

  • Compiling and process Engineering Change Notifications (ECN’s).

  • Creating CAD drawings (ECN’s, suppliers, etc).

  • Collaborating with procurement on technical sourcing and alternate material review (AMR).

  • Collaborating with technical departments on ECN’s, manufacturing test escalations; field service escalations, OOB etc.

  • Developing, tutor and mentor Engineers and Technicians, maintain training documentation.

  • Supporting the manufacturing line and processes, process improvement, equipment selection/maintenance and compliance.

  • Supporting with development of methods/guidelines for incoming goods quality inspection, sourcing requirements etc.

  • Creation and manage of product user manuals and other related documentation.

    Knowledge and Experience

  • Degree in relevant Engineering or CAD discipline essential

  • Proven past experience within a similar role

  • Strong technical knowledge of Cryogenic products is desirable

  • Understanding of document compliance and drawing revision control

  • Ability to multi task and have proven problem solving skills

  • Understanding of SAP or other ERP system

  • Understanding of the impact of component / system changes on other business functions
