Job Title: Process Engineer

Location: Sandwich, Kent

Salary: £26,619 increasing to £29,280 following 6-month probation

Hours: Monday to Friday 8am - 4pm

Role Summary:

You will be responsible for optimising manufacturing processes, improving efficiency and ensuring the highest product quality.

Career progressionKey responsibilities within your new role would be to:

Assist with the planning of day-to-day manufacturing.
Plan for the recovery of material in manufacturing runs.
Compile information that is required for work orders.
Complete tasks on the company's ERP system that revolve around the work order process.
Liaise with departments to ensure the smooth and continued high standards of manufacturing.
Be part of preventative problem solving in the form of process improvement projects.
Solve reactive problems that could occur during the manufacturing process.
Provide justifications for the solutions suggested improvements.
Have a level of involvement in quality control and research and development activities.
Understand how testing is done and why each test is carried out.
Learn how to perform FTIR analysis, as well as other analytical procedures.Experience and skills required for this position:

An Engineering qualification.
Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate with people of different levels.
The ability to use Microsoft packages including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
A sound understanding of CAD (Computer Aided Design) is a must.
The ability to work as part of a team or on your own initiative.
An understanding of organic chemistry would be desirable.Next steps:
