Engineering Manager - The Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Process Engineering Manager to lead our Production Support Group (PSG), which includes Process Engineers, Chemists, PCM CAD, and Metrology. You will drive process improvements that significantly contribute to site performance targets and foster a strong continuous improvement culture across all manufacturing functions.

Engineering Manager - Responsibilities:

  • Lead, manage, and motivate the PSG team to achieve KPI targets and company goals.

  • Generate, monitor, and present data to ensure processes are controlled and within tolerances, initiating preventative actions for quality manufacturing.

  • Drive the team to generate and implement process improvement ideas to reduce costs, increase production rates, and reduce waste.

  • Oversee the New Product Introduction (NPI) process, ensuring thorough assessment and seamless transfer to mainstream production.

  • Introduce and maintain an effective Project Management Process for NPI, Continuous Improvement Projects, and Capital Investments.

  • Support problem-solving real-time processing issues and cementing permanent solutions.

  • Develop and maintain up-to-date technical knowledge in the Precision Engineering sector.

    Engineering Manager - Requirements:

  • A BSc in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering (or a related subject) or strong equivalent Process Engineering experience.

  • Practical experience driving continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment.

  • Ability to justify and prove improvement ideas based on measurable savings.

  • Knowledge of Lean / 6 Sigma methods.

  • Qualified in Project Management Techniques (e.g., Prince2).

  • Advanced use of Microsoft Excel.

  • Experience writing SOP, SOI, or similar documents.

  • Knowledge of chemical related manufacturing processes.
