We are seeking an experienced Electronic Engineer to join a highly skilled small team, working in a technically challenging and highly regulated environment. The successful candidate will lead electronic and embedded firmware design and development projects for avionics and maritime applications.

This role is ideal for a proactive individual with at least 5 years of experience however, our client is happy to consider applicants at a Junior / Graduate level.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Capture and trace requirements from customer specifications to detailed design.

• Design and simulate schematics (OrCAD and KiCAD experience preferred).

• Review PCB layouts (experience with Allegro is a plus).

• Develop embedded firmware (VHDL and C).

• Support verification and qualification processes (knowledge of DO-178, DO-254, BS EN 61508 beneficial).

• Generate and maintain design documentation.

• Take ownership of assigned work packages, ensuring timely delivery within budget and technical requirements.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering or similar in a related field.

• 5+ years of experience in electronic design and development however, we will also consider recent graduates.

• Schematic design and capture skills (OrCAD experience ideal).

• Proficiency in embedded programming.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to learning new technologies.

• Knowledge of video standards or power circuitry design a benefit.
