Jackson Hogg is proud to be partnering with a pioneering new business in the circular economy sector as they search for a Senior Process Engineer to join their growing team. This role offers a rare opportunity to be part of a cutting-edge recycling facility from the ground up — influencing design, supporting commissioning, and driving operational excellence once live.

The Opportunity

As Senior Process Engineer, you will play a key role across the full lifecycle of the facility:

  • Build & Commissioning Phase: Shape plant layout, process flows, and equipment selection. Develop and review P&IDs, process flow diagrams, and specifications. Lead commissioning activities, HAZOP reviews, and performance trials.

  • Operational Phase: Optimise processes, troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous improvement. Lead projects that improve yield, efficiency, and quality while ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.

    About You

    We’re looking for an experienced process engineering professional with:

  • A degree in Chemical/Process Engineering (or related).

  • Professional membership (IChemE or equivalent).

  • Strong background in process engineering within plastics, polymers, or recycling.

  • Hands-on experience of plant commissioning/start-up.

  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and ISO standards (ISO 9001 / ISO 14001).

  • Excellent technical problem-solving, project management, and collaboration skills.
