The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity as become available to join our client as a Senior Process Engineer. As Senior Process Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of hydrogen technology, driving innovation at the heart of the UK’s energy transition. This opportunity gives you the chance to join a global leader committed to sustainability, where your experience will directly input cutting-edge projects.
Your duties and responsibilities will be

  • Lead and deliver process design activities to develop conceptual through to detailed process design for onsite plants
  • Deliver process engineering for multidiscipline projects to schedule, including FEL2/3 through to project execution
  • Provide technical expertise on company technology and hydrogen plants during projects and to support bid activities
  • Participate in hazard studies, SIL / LOPA studies
  • Work with technology development team to obtain a deep understating of the AWE technology
  • Develop technical reports, design guides, process design document templates, supporting calculations, project CTRs and standard project execution documentation
  • Projects may involve UK and international travel
    You will have the following qualifications & experience
  • BEng/MEng in Chemical Engineering
  • Experience in hydrogen/Chlor-Alkali or a similar industry
  • Demonstrated experience in leading process design activities at senior or principal process engineer level, for multi-discipline projects from concept to detailed design phases
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of process safety management
  • Demonstrated interest in developing deep understanding of technology, applying first principles thinking
  • Experienced in process simulation (e.g. Aspen, HYSIS)
    It’s great if you also have the following
  • Chartered Engineer status, or working towards
  • Hydrogen process safety knowledge
