Overview

Process Engineer - Broughton (Onsite)


Location: Broughton, Chester


Hours: 35 per week (4.5 days, flexible between 7am-7pm)


Pay: £27.68 per hour (PAYE) / £37.02 per hour (umbrella)


Security Clearance: BPSS+ (completed by Airbus Security)

What You'll Be Doing

  • Translating design intent into clear technical instructions and manufacturing data for aircraft production, assembly, testing, and certification.
  • Delivering detailed work preparation, including routings, BOMs, SOIs, and STV calculations.
  • Implementing best practice methods, tools, and processes to meet current and future business needs.
  • Ensuring all work and documentation meet procedural and regulatory standards.
  • Project managing improvements in manufacturing methods, tools, and processes.
  • Evaluating and enhancing manufacturing capacity, recommending design changes where needed.
  • Providing hands-on support to shopfloor operations, supply chain, and final assembly lines for both electrical and mechanical systems.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in a large manufacturing environment, ideally within the aerospace, production, or industrial sectors.
  • Strong process-driven mindset and ability to work from first principles in manufacturing disciplines.
  • Working knowledge of Manufacturing Engineering, Design, and Business Information Systems (SAP experience desirable).
  • Understanding of lean principles and continuous improvement.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multifunctional team.
  • Leadership skills and self-motivation are highly valued.
