Process Engineer

Location: Barnoldswick


Are you ready to step up into a role where you can really shape how a manufacturing site operates? This Process Engineer position offers the chance to make a visible impact. A global group, with multiple UK sites this opportunity provides a strong platform for career growth. The Barnoldswick site produces metal mechanical components for consumer products, and you’ll be central to improving how they’re made.


The Role

This is a role suited to someone with a strong technical grounding and a passion for process improvement and operational effectiveness. You’ll identify opportunities, implement changes, and drive a culture of continuous improvement.


Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse equipment, layouts, workflows and resources to spot efficiency gains.
  • Carry out time-and-motion studies and labour utilisation assessments.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to layouts, processes or equipment.
  • Lead CI initiatives using Lean/Six Sigma tools.
  • Facilitate workshops and training to embed improvement culture.
  • Build strong relationships across production, engineering, and operations.
  • Prepare reports, cost-benefit analyses, and Capex recommendations.


About You

  • Degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering (or similar).
  • A foundation in process engineering/operations effectiveness.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Good communicator with the ability to influence and build relationships across teams.
  • Any experiernce with CAD/CAM would be advantageous
