Job Title: Process Engineer - Surface Technology
Location: Hayes, UK

About the Role
If you're passionate about engineering precision and driving process improvements, this role is for you. As a Process Engineer in our Surface Technology team, you'll be the go-to expert for plating shop processes-optimizing performance, solving production challenges, and ensuring quality meets the highest aerospace standards.

What You'll Do

Design, configure, and refine plating shop processes from startup to steady state.

Create and maintain technical documentation, standards, and risk assessments.

Investigate non-conformities and implement lasting improvements.

Collaborate with internal and external teams to develop tooling that boosts efficiency and quality.

Keep processes aligned with OEM, REACH, and COSHH requirements.

What You Bring

Degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical, Process, or Chemical Engineering (or related science).

3-5 years' electro-plating or metal finishing experience, ideally in aerospace.

Knowledge of Lean, Continuous Improvement, and Statistical Process Control.

Strong analytical skills and a problem-solving mindset.

Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Competence with ERP/MRP and MS Office systems.
