Junior ASIC Test Engineer

Avanti Recruitment is working with an established technology company looking for a Junior ASIC Test Engineer to join its R&D team.

You’ll work in a hands-on laboratory environment, testing and characterising complex ASICs, investigating unexpected results and working closely with experienced ASIC design engineers.

The role could suit either a strong Electronic/Electrical Engineering graduate with practical laboratory experience, or someone with 1-2 years of electronics testing experience looking to move into ASICs.

The role:

• Testing and characterisation of ASICs
• Using oscilloscopes, multimeters and other laboratory test equipment
• Troubleshooting unexpected results and hardware behaviour
• Developing and improving test methods
• Analysing measurement data
• Test automation and data processing
• Working closely with ASIC design engineers

We’re looking for:

• Degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering or similar
• Hands-on electronics testing experience
• Experience using electronic test equipment
• Good troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Python, MATLAB or LabVIEW would be beneficial

Previous ASIC or semiconductor experienceis not essential. What matters is a strong electronics foundation, hands-on test experience and the ability to troubleshoot problems.
