An exciting opportunity for an experienced Technical Author to join a rapidly growing global Manufacturer at their Bristol site.

In this role, you will create and refine highly technical documentation, prioritising content validation and review.

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional written and verbal communication abilities and will collaborate effectively across various departments with diverse stakeholders.

Key responsibilities will include publishing customer manuals, developing new documentation, validating technical details, and reviewing content.

In addition you will edit CAD drawings for use in technical documentation, and answer product queries.

Working onsite, at least 3 days per week, working with the Technical Authoring Team you will provide input to all technical documentation for internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:

You should hold a recognised technical authoring qualification (ISTC, NVQ, Diploma, etc.) or equivalent experience.

Experience:

As the successful Technical Author, at least 2 years’ experience in a Technical Author role.

You should have a high level of competence in authoring software, preferably MadCap Flare, Adobe Acrobat and SolidWorks/Solid Edge.

Preference will be given to candidates who have experience in high tech manufacturing such as the semiconductor, electro-mechanical or scientific sector.

Experience should include writing documentation for scientific instrumentation and applying Simplified Technical English.

Salary: up to c£46k, plus generous benefits
