We’re on the lookout for a Technical Administrator to support a busy Aftersales team. You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth coordination across service operations, enhancing customer satisfaction, and boosting internal efficiency.

In this, you’ll be responsible for everything from organising engineer schedules and arranging travel to managing parts logistics and technical documentation. You’ll be the reliable go-to for keeping engineering operations aligned, informed, and on track.

As a Technical Administrator, you will:

  • Schedule and coordinate engineer visits in response to customer needs.

  • Use internal planning systems to assign jobs and maximise efficiency.

  • Organise travel and accommodation for both UK and overseas service visits.

  • Maintain and update technical service documentation.

  • Process engineer expense reports and support overtime claim approvals.

  • Handle inbound and outbound parts orders, stock transfers, and logistics.

  • Monitor inventory levels and resolve delivery or stock discrepancies.

  • Liaise with suppliers for warranty claims, documentation, and part shipments.

  • Act as the key point of contact between customers, sales, engineers, and suppliers.

  • Take service requests, verify technical part requirements, and book appointments.

  • Keep service records current, update job files, and maintain contract reporting data.

  • Track engineering activities and performance metrics for internal reporting.

  • Generate invoices upon job completion or per contract terms.

  • Manage tracking of product serials, installations, and contract details.

    What We’re Looking For:

  • Solid experience in a technical administration or engineer support role.

  • Proven experience scheduling reactive and proactive calls.

  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.

  • A proactive team player with a can-do attitude.

  • High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.

  • Confident with Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel.

  • Familiarity with ERP or service management systems.

  • Understanding of stock control, technical documentation, and contracts.
