Summer Placement - Engineering Internship

Location: Witney, Oxfordshire
Regular bus service from Oxford to Witney. Accommodation advice available upon request.

Duration: 8 to 12 weeks (Summer 2024)
Salary: £14.00 per hour

About the Opportunity

An exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience within a highly skilled engineering team at a cutting-edge manufacturing facility. This internship offers the chance to work in a highly automated environment, supporting key engineering projects while gaining exposure to advanced manufacturing processes. Ideal for those looking to develop technical expertise in a fast-paced, innovative setting.

Role Responsibilities

Provide support and assistance on engineering and systems projects, ensuring compliance with industry and regulatory standards.

Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, delivering innovative solutions to complex manufacturing challenges.

Assist senior engineers with ongoing projects and operational tasks, working within agreed time, cost, and quality constraints.

Contribute to the development and validation of software applications used in the manufacturing process.

Support system changes in compliance with Software Life Cycle (SLC) and change control processes.

Participate in the validation and operation of production equipment, troubleshooting and proposing solutions under supervision.

Conduct trials on manufacturing equipment, collect and analyze data, create models, and produce technical reports.

Ensure all documentation is completed in line with corporate and external regulatory requirements.

Who We Are Looking For

A proactive and enthusiastic engineering student or recent graduate with an interest in automation, manufacturing, and process engineering.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team.

Good understanding of mechanical, electrical, or software engineering principles.

Experience with data collection, analysis, and technical report writing is an advantage.

Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high safety and quality standards.
