Senior Process Engineer

My client, a market leading Civil Engineering Consultancy who specialise in wastewater and design, are searching for a Senior Process Engineer. This role offers the chance to work on exciting water and wastewater treatment projects, contribute to innovative solutions, and grow into a leadership position.

As a Senior Process Engineer you will be required to lead or support the process design of sewage treatment works across feasibility, outline, and detailed design phases. You will also be expected to develop and review key documents including;

Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs)
Mass and energy balances
Process calculations and sizing
Design Basis Reports (DBRs) and P&IDs
Ensure designs align with client specifications.
Provide CAD support to draft and edit PFDs, P&IDs, and layouts.
Contribute to the development of digital process design templates, tender documents and proposals.
Participate in multi-disciplinary design reviews and HAZOPs with multidisciplinary teams. -Project managementCandidates are required to have a degree in Chemical or Process Engineering and experience working for a UK based Consultancy specialising in wastewater or sewage treatment works design using AutoCAD. You are also required to have experience managing and developing full process design documentation (PFDs, P&IDs and control strategies). Candidates are also required to be familiar with UK water industry frameworks and standards (e.g., WIMES, Sewers for Adoption) and have a strong understanding of biological and chemical treatment processes, sludge treatment, and odour control.
