Our client, a leading semiconductor manufacturer based in Fife, is looking for a Senior Equipment Engineer to join their team. This is a great opportunity for an experienced professional to play a key role in maximising equipment efficiency and ensuring smooth operations in a high-tech environment.

The Role



Develop preventative maintenance strategies to maximise equipment availability, reduce costs, and ensure high-quality output.

*

Carry out repairs and preventative maintenance of specialist semiconductor processing equipment.

*

Provide training and mentoring to technicians and junior engineers.

*

Liaise with vendors, suppliers, and contractors.

*

Support on-site emergency response when required.

*

Manage inventory and control critical spare parts.

*

Implement improvement strategies and support change reviews.

*

Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.

*

Plan and oversee the installation of new equipment.

*

Represent the equipment team in multi-disciplinary meetings.

What We’re Looking For

*

Minimum 5 years’ experience in semiconductor manufacturing or a related field.

*

HNC/HND or degree in an engineering discipline.

*

Hands-on experience with Novellus C1, E-beam Evaporation equipment, MRC Sputtering equipment, Furnace equipment, and associated Metrology equipment.

*

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
