Summary

This role will be responsible for leading the development, optimisation, and implementation of production processes to enhance efficiency, product quality, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in food manufacturing, process engineering, or production management, with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.

Role Description

Key responsibilities include:

  • Analyse, design, and optimise production processes for efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and quality

  • Lead trials and validations of new products, equipment, and process changes

  • Collaborate with NPD, Technical, Engineering, and Production teams to ensure seamless integration of new processes

  • Identify and implement continuous improvement projects

  • Ensure all processes meet food safety and regulatory compliance (e.g., BRC, HACCP, retailer standards)

  • Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality or process issues

  • Maintain detailed documentation and process specifications

    Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience in a similar role within a food manufacturing environment

  • Strong understanding of food safety, quality standards, and process control

  • Has experience running and planning trials / done strategy work

  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills

  • Capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience working with major UK retailers (e.g., Tesco, M&S, Aldi)
