Process Manufacturing Engineer

A well established manufacturer in a regulated environment is looking for a Process Manufacturing Engineer to strengthen its production capability. This is a hands on role focused on optimising processes, improving flow and supporting production teams with practical engineering solutions.


The Role

• Develop and improve production processes across machining, fabrication and assembly

• Introduce new tooling, jigs and fixtures that support repeatable and efficient manufacture

• Lead process mapping, cycle time analysis and bottleneck removal

• Support NPI activity with robust process planning, routings, work instructions and layouts

• Work directly with shop floor teams to resolve production issues and deliver practical improvements

• Identify and reduce waste through layout changes, standard work and lean methods

• Support capacity planning and production readiness for new product variants


About You

• Background in process engineering or manufacturing engineering within aerospace, defence, automotive or another regulated environment

• Strong understanding of production processes, workflow and practical engineering methods

• Able to create work instructions, routings, standard operations and layout improvements

• Hands on, confident on the shop floor and able to work closely with operators and supervisors

• Skilled in lean tools, time studies, problem solving and process optimisation

• Comfortable working in a fast paced technical environment with accountability for real production improvements
