FJA are recruiting on behalf of a leading company that delivers analogue and discrete power solutions Worldwide. The company specialise in the automotive, industrial, computing, consumer electronics and communications sectors.

They are looking to recruit a Process Engineer responsible to the Process Engineering Manager.

This role is based in Greater Manchester.

    Process Engineer role:

  • As a process engineer, you will be part of a dynamic team responsible for the silicon wafer fabrication processes, tools, and techniques used in manufacturing our expanding range of semiconductor products for global markets.

  • You will enhance semiconductor processes, introduce new tools, and collaborate with development teams to drive product growth and success.

  • Develop, maintain, and support wafer fabrication processes with a focus on process capability, quality, and electrical yield.

  • Create and implement auditable instructions and procedures to achieve manufacturing targets, ensure process control and measurement consistency, and maintain compliance with health and safety standards.

  • Improve process, procedure or operator function through robust SPA, DOE, R&R, 8D, 6 sigma or other structured techniques to show benefits in product efficiency and quality.

  • The transfer and production implementation of new processes from development to production status as robust, capable, stable and high yielding processes.

  • Support all manufacturing activities and ensure that all quality, customer and safety requirements are exceeded.

  • Report against targets and goals to highlight issues and / or improvement opportunities.

  • Leading or participating in cross functional and facility quality teams and work group activities with a view to optimizing efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Reporting against targets and goals to highlight issues and/or improvement opportunities.

  • Be a party to influencing attitudes and behaviors to ensure process engineering achieves the required standards.

  • Participate in cross functional teams on continuous improvement projects.

  • Support any changes for data collection/SPC operations.

    Process Engineer requirements:

  • Degree in a relevant engineering or science discipline

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Comprehensive I.T. Skills

  • Able to work independently and form productive working relationships with other departments / teams

  • Good organizational & prioritisation skills

  • Hands on approach to solve problems

  • Self-motivation with a positive attitude towards work in fast changing environment

  • Ability to make consequential decisions to tight timescales
