Location: Office and Field (up to 30% of the time international travel required)

Reports To: Mechanical Engineering Manager
Salary: £45 - 55K

We’re seeking a Mechanical Engineer with expertise in process piping design and system optimization, specializing in hot/cold water reticulation, compressed air, and chilled water systems. This is your opportunity to work on large-scale, high-impact projects and bring your skills to life in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Your Role
Piping Design Mastery: Design and size piping systems to ensure seamless flow and performance for water, air, and cooling systems.
Process Engineering: Develop detailed layouts for process piping and ductwork, focusing on routing, material selection, and support structures.
AutoCAD Expertise: Deliver precise, fabrication-ready designs using AutoCAD, maintaining the highest quality standards.
Technical Leadership: Create P&IDs, PFDs, and isometric drawings, ensuring clarity and functionality for complex mechanical systems.
Project Integration: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to align designs with project objectives and deadlines.
Material & Quality Oversight: Manage material take-offs and conduct rigorous quality checks throughout project stages.
On-Site Support: Travel (10–35%) to provide hands-on technical guidance during installation and startup phases.What You Bring
Education: Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering (required); EIT registration is a plus.
Experience: 2–5 years in process and piping engineering, with proven expertise in designing water, air, and cooling systems.
Technical Proficiency: Strong command of AutoCAD; experience with Navisworks or CAESAR II/Bentley Auto Pipe is a bonus.
Problem-Solving Skills: Analytical mindset with a deep understanding of piping systems and mechanical processes.
Collaboration: Excellent communication skills to work seamlessly with engineers, vendors, and on-site teams.
