Astute's Renewables team is partnering with a leading innovator in renewable energy production, specialising in biogas plants, to recruit a Maintenance Technician for their site in Dufftown, Scotland. The Maintenance Technician will apply mechanical & electrical technical expertise to safely carry out planned, reactive and emergency work across the site, minimising any down time

Responsibilities and duties of the Maintenance Technician role

Reporting to the Maintenance Team Leader you will:

Ensure that assigned work scopes are carried out safely, to the highest quality and carried out on time
Ensure Inspection and Testing regime is completed as per Maintenance Plan
Be involved in root cause analysis investigations for reactive and emergency maintenance to help prevent recurrence of the issue
Assist and be actively involved, where required, with the integration of site capital projects
Endeavor to assist maintenance and site teams where required with overtime, out of hours support during emergency breakdowns or during maintenance shut down periods
Ensure a quick response to reactive and emergency breakdowns to minimis downtime
Other duties as required
Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

HND/HNC in process engineering - Electrical, Mechanical and Instrumentation or Modern Apprenticeship completed or N/SVQ level 3 - Mechanical ECITB Or a similar qualification. Will consider time served
Full UK Driving license (essential)
IOSH (preferred)
FLT/Telehandler licence (preferred)
Personal skills

The Maintenance Technician role would suit someone who is:

At least 2 years' experience within anaerobic digestion or a similar processing environment
Experience working under a Quality Management System (QMS)
Experience of working with PLC's and SCADA systems and fault finding
Experience within a similar industry working under the remit of COMPEX/ATEX regulations
Electrical experience within the industrial sector (preferred)
