The Role

A leading design and build business has secured a long-term framework agreement with a major water utility, creating an exciting opportunity for an experienced Process Engineer. This role is ideal for a confident, technical professional who thrives on process analysis, client reviews, and risk assessments in the civil engineering sector. As a key member of our new team, you will contribute to projects that enhance the efficiency of water and wastewater treatment systems while supporting our commitment to technical excellence and sustainable solutions.

Key Responsibilities
Supply Chain Engagement: Liaise with suppliers to assess and integrate the latest technologies as part of the optioneering process, collaborating closely with the Design team to develop innovative 3D models and solutions.
Technical Output Management: Oversee critical deliverables such as process calculations, flow and load data summaries, process flow diagrams, P&IDs, data sheets, and integrate findings from HAZID and HAZOP studies into commissioning plans.
Standards and Documentation: Ensure that all technical work adheres to the appropriate standards and specifications, with engineering documentation regularly updated and distributed to maintain a high level of quality.
Project Collaboration: Work alongside key stakeholders and project teams to review processes, assess risks, and provide recommendations that drive project success.
Continuous Improvement: Actively contribute to a culture of learning and process improvement by engaging in regular client reviews and technical discussions. Requirements
A degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
8+ years of demonstrable process engineering experience within design and build, civil engineering projects.
Water or wastewater sector experience highly desirable.
Strong background in process analysis and risk assessment.
Proficient in developing 3D models and technical drawings using industry-standard tools.
Experience with process calculations, flow and load data analysis, and creating detailed engineering documentation.
Familiarity with planning, design, and analysis software
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients, peers, and stakeholders.
A methodical approach to problem solving and a commitment to continuous learning.
