Contracts Project Manager – Process Industry

We are a well-established engineering consultancy delivering turnkey process design and project management solutions across the food, pharmaceutical, and chemical sectors. As we continue to expand our portfolio, we are seeking a Contracts Project Manager to oversee the successful delivery of projects ranging from £100,000 to £5 million.

You’ll lead the end-to-end execution of projects – from tender to commissioning – working closely with clients, sub-contractors, and internal teams. If you thrive in a fast-paced, technically varied environment and enjoy turning complex plans into reality, this could be the perfect role for you.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

*

Full lifecycle project management – tendering, scheduling, budgeting & delivery

*

Leading multi-disciplinary teams across civils, mechanical, electrical & controls

*

Managing contractors and ensuring compliance with CDM and safety standards

*

Supporting procurement, supplier negotiation, and resource allocation

*

Conducting risk reviews, client presentations, and variation handling

*

Supporting commissioning and handover to operations

🧑‍💼 Ideal Candidate

You’ll have:

*

Minimum 5 years’ experience in process engineering project delivery

*

Proven leadership in managing contractors, engineers, and third-party suppliers

*

Experience with plant builds, modular systems, or process environments

*

Strong working knowledge of CDM, HAZOP, and health & safety regulations

*

A relevant engineering degree (or HND with significant experience)

💻 Desirable Skills

*

Microsoft Project & resource planning

*

Knowledge of ATEX/DSEAR environments

*

Process or mechanical design background

*

Willingness to travel occasionally for site-based works
