Job Opportunity: Continuous Improvement Engineer (6-Month Contract)
Location: Black Country
Contract Type: 6-Month Fixed Term
Salary/Rate: Competitive, depending on experience

Are you passionate about driving real change on the shop floor? My client, a well-established manufacturing business based in the Black Country, is seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer to join their team on a 6-month contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to make an immediate impact within a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

The Role: You’ll play a key role in identifying inefficiencies, leading improvement projects, and supporting a culture of lean thinking and continuous improvement across the site.

Key Responsibilities:
Analyse manufacturing processes to identify waste and inefficiencies
Lead CI projects using Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen methodologies
Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to implement sustainable improvements
Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs)
Support training and coaching of staff in CI tools and practices
Assist with root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective actions where neededWhat We’re Looking For:
Experience in a Continuous Improvement or Process Engineering role within manufacturing
Strong working knowledge of Lean principles; Six Sigma Green Belt (or above) is desirable
Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach
Ability to work independently and influence teams at all levels
Comfortable working on the shop floor as well as in meetings and reportsWhat’s on Offer:
