A day in the life of a Murphy Buyer:

Provide an effective and professional service in the procurement of sub-contractors and materials.
Work as part of a dedicated procurement team for the project.
Provide best value for project procurement solutions for the project.
Procurement of materials and subcontracts covering; production and management of the procurement schedule, development of invitation to tender documents in conjunction with project teams. Carry out tender analysis and award recommendations.
Advise on the project’s supply chain management activities, including structuring the supply chain and carrying out performance and relationship management to drive improved performance/cost benefits.
Support activities that generate and encourage efficient, productive and continuously improving supply chain performance.
Take part in group procurement functional goals and objectives within the region.
Continuously seek out and assess new supply chain members to meet project demand.
Develop and forge closer relationships with the supply chain to encourage a culture of inclusive interaction and learning and an atmosphere of mutual respect and understanding.
