Quality Engineer

Quality Engineer - Swindon - £45k

Platform Recruitment have partnered with a leading electronic manufacturer. They are looking to recruit a quality engineer who is experienced in investigations and supplier quality management within the electronics space.

In this role, you’ll lead structured 8D investigations, collaborate with internal teams and global suppliers. From conducting initial inspections to resolving supplier-related quality issues, you’ll play a vital part in improving product reliability and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

Lead 8D investigations and manage the customer return process end-to-end.

Communicate investigation findings and corrective actions clearly and professionally.

Monitor and drive improvements across semiconductor suppliers.

*

Participate in supplier audits

*

Ensure effective resolution of non-conformities and quality complaints

Key skills:

*

Degree-qualified or equivalent experience in semiconductor/automotive electronics quality

*

Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and tools like 8D, 5 Whys, APQP, and PPAP

*

Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
