A Process Engineer opportunity has become available with a growing engineering manufacturer supplying precision-engineered systems into high-spec, safety-critical sectors. The company is known for its strong technical capability, commitment to zero defects, and a collaborative culture that drives customer-focused improvement. With continued growth and investment in design, manufacturing, and process optimisation, they're looking for a Process Engineer to take ownership of manufacturing processes, drive continuous improvement, and support long-term operational excellence. The role is based in the Birmingham area and offers a salary in the region of £45,000+, along with 33 days annual leave, and excellent long-term development potential.

Process Engineer responsibilities include -

  • Developing and optimising manufacturing processes from concept to production.
  • Assessing production processes, collecting data, and identifying opportunities for efficiency gains.
  • Designing, testing, and upgrading mechanical and automated systems, including batch operations.
  • Leading the introduction and commissioning of new equipment on site.
  • Creating clear documentation, SOPs, and process control plans.
  • Implementing and maintaining 5S and other lean methodologies across production areas.
