Process Engineer - Sustainable Chemicals Manufacturing - Greater Manchester (East) - £45-55k + benefits

We're supporting an innovative, venture-backed sustainable chemicals company as they commission their first pilot plant and prepare for future commercial scale-up. This is a rare opportunity to join early and play a key role in shaping both the process and your own career progression.

The Role

You'll be involved from pilot plant commissioning through to optimisation, troubleshooting and scale-up, helping to generate the data and operational knowledge required for future commercial facilities. Working closely with operations and technical teams, you'll become the site's primary process engineering resource and technical expert.

What You'll Be Doing

* Supporting pilot plant commissioning and start-up

* Optimising process performance, yield and efficiency

* Analysing data and driving continuous improvement

* Troubleshooting operational and process issues

* Supporting CAPEX projects and future scale-up activities

* Working closely with operators to improve plant performance

About You

* Degree qualified in Chemical/Process Engineering

* 2-5 years' experience in a process, production or manufacturing environment

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

* Proactive, self-motivated and comfortable working with autonomy

* Enjoys taking ownership and making an impact in a growing business
